Scope of Works: Rock blasting using explosives with non-electric detonators/NoneX Chemical Breaking/Tunnel fore poling/Rock bolts/Shotcrete/Excavation works

Project Start/End: Aug 2013 – Oct 2015

It is a two cable tunnel built by SP PowerGrid which is about 60m underground consisting of a 16.5km East-West Tunnel and an 18.5km North-South Tunnel across Singapore to accommodate the main transmission cables for efficient installation and maintenance. These cables will serve as a backbone for the nation’s power supply for the coming years.
